More than 150 players have played for both the Rangers and White Sox over the years, including names like Charlie Hough and Kenny Lofton. So, while these two teams will meet for another three-game set on Monday, they also share a unique piece of baseball history. However, WNBA and tennis fans don’t have to feel left out.
Surely, Monday, August 24 kicks off a busy week, but there won’t be any shortage of entertainment. The WNBA has two high-energy games on the schedule, while the qualifying rounds of the 2026 US Open will also get underway. Then, at 9:38 PM, the Cleveland Guardians will face the Los Angeles Angels, with the game airing on Guardians.TV and ABTV.

The 9:40 PM window features four games. The Pittsburgh Pirates will take on the San Diego Padres on SportsNet Pittsburgh and Padres.TV, while the Chicago Cubs face the Arizona Diamondbacks on Marquee Sports Network and DBACKS.TV.
The Philadelphia Phillies will also play the Seattle Mariners, with coverage on NBC Sports Philadelphia and Mariners.TV. Meanwhile, the Minnesota Twins will meet the Athletics, with the game airing on Twins.TV and NBCS California.
The final MLB matchup of the night starts at 9:45 PM, with the Cincinnati Reds taking on the San Francisco Giants on Reds.TV and NBCS Bay Area.
WNBA
The WNBA slate begins at 8:00 PM, when the Golden State Valkyries face the Minnesota Lynx, with the game streaming live on League Pass.

Later, at 10:00 PM, the Atlanta Dream will take on the Los Angeles Sparks, with the matchup also available live on League Pass.
Tennis
The 2026 US Open qualifying rounds get underway at 11:00 AM ET at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
The qualifiers will run through Aug. 27, with coverage on ESPN2 and streaming live on ESPN+. This will be the first live tennis action of the tournament, with the main draw set to begin on Aug. 30.

Meanwhile, golf fans won’t have any live action to tune into on Monday, giving them some time to catch their breath after the recently concluded BMW Championship.
