Bellator 260 main card lost a pivotal bout as the women’s flyweight match featuring the Brazilian duo of Vanessa Porto and Ilara Joanne was called off. In less than no time after the conclusion of the official weigh-ins, the officials revealed that Porto didn’t receive medical clearance from the commission for the match.

Also, the main card will feature 4 matches and no bouts will be added to it now, as per MMA Junkie sources. The Bazilian Porto was the last fighter to turn up for weigh-ins and needed a towel to hit the mark. The short notice fight was booked for a 128-pound contract weight.

Porto has been a veteran of the sport and has been competing for the last 16 years. This match would have been a quick turnaround for her as she fought Liz Carmouche at Bellator 256. She lost the fight via a unanimous decision.

The above-mentioned bout was her debut fight for the promotion. She formerly competed in Invicta FC and became the Invicta FC flyweight world champion in 2019. She defended the gold once against Karina Rodriguez and won via a unanimous decision.

Ilara Joanna is relatively new compared to Porto. The Brazilian is 10 years younger than Porto and has been a professional fighter since 2013.

‘Arya Stark’ has only competed in two matches for Bellator MMA till now and has a mixed bag of results in those matches.

She made her Bellator debut against Bec Rawlings at Bellator 231 and picked up an impressive submission win. Her next fight was against Kana Watanabe at Bellator 237 where she lost via TKO in round 3.
