

Yves Landu made his Bellator debut at Bellator 248- Kongo Vs Johnson 2. This was the first major MMA event hosted in the capital city of France. The French fighter was among a few other natives who were able to put on a show in their own country.

‘You Know’ could not have asked for a better debut performance than he had against Terry Brazier. Landu produced a contender for knockout of the year. However, it was his post-fight antics that stole the show.

Towards the end of the fight, Landu attempted a superman punch followed by a high kick. These were both blocked by Brazier; however, at this point, he was backed up against the fence. Seeing this as an opportunity, Landu jumped with his right knee forwards and switched the leg midway. A brilliantly time flying knee caught an unsuspecting Brazier flush on his face. He dropped to the floor unconscious and fans knew that the referee was going to wave off the fight seconds before he did so.

Following his win, an elated Yves climbed on the fence and then somersaulted back to the ground. He followed this up with some more front flips, and backflips, and some extremely impressive breakdance moves. the steps were truly entertaining to watch and perhaps overshadowed his brilliant KO victory.

‘You know’ is 4-1 in his last five fights. In August, his four-fight win streak ended, against Hiroto Uesako at Rizin FF- Rizin 18. He was then signed to Bellator MMA, where he made his debut in his home country.

In Terry Brazier, he was matched up against a worthy adversary. ‘The Dominator’ was split in his last two fights in the promotion. A submission victory over Alessandro Botti was followed by a unanimous decision loss to Soren Bak. With a spectacular knockout like that, ‘You Know’ has made a statement on his debut.
