After the Latest Deal Claressa Shields Set to Fight on Sky Sports in the UK

Claressa Shields is one of the most popular fighters in the world. Many consider the boxing champion to be one of the greatest boxers in the world and recently she has even turned to MMA. Shields made her MMA debut against Brittney Elkin at the PFL 4 event and won the fight via a 3rd round TKO.

Shields’s last boxing match came in March 2021 as she faced and defeated Marie-Eve Dicaire via UD. Now Shields along with people like Savannah Marshall, Vasily Lomachenko, and Olympian Caroline Dubois are all coming to Sky Sports.

Sky Sports announced today the details of its boxing coverage after signing deals with promotional companies Top Rank and BOXXER. Therefore, Sky Sports is now the place to watch the best boxing content from all around the world. Opening UK BOXXER fights will be in Wembley on October 2, and on October 16 in Newcastle.

Claressa Shields will fight on Sky Sports in the UK, after an agreement with Salita promotions to fight on BOXXER shows. ‘T-Rex’ is amongst the most popular names to be a part of combat sports at present. And now, due to Sky Sports making this latest deal, people will be able to follow Shields, Marshall, and other talented fighters more closely.

Who will Claressa Shields fight next?

After Shields made her MMA debut, many people speculated that ‘T-Rex’ will leave boxing now. However, Shields has often claimed that she wants to be the first person to hold world boxing and MMA titles simultaneously.

‘T-Rex’ holds a plethora of records in boxing and has achieved much success. She holds the record for becoming a two and three-weight world champion in the fewest professional fights. Therefore, as Shields has achieved so much success in boxing, she believes that there are just a couple more people left that she wants to fight.

After that, the fighter wants to concentrate on MMA and become a champion in the sport. While, Claressa Shields will be a part of the Sky Sports in the UK, who she will fight is yet unknown.
