Mohamed ‘Hamicha’ Mezouari Sets GLORY 78 Ablaze With Incredible First Round KO

The Glory 78 event was being touted as one of the most anticipated combat sports events of the year. There were a plethora of great fights set for the event, with the main event being the fight between Badr Hari and Arkadiusz Wrzosek. However, apart from this fight, there were various other great fights that people were excited to watch. One such fight was between Mohamed ‘Hamicha’ Mezouari and Vedat Hoduk.

‘Hamicha’ is currently ranked No.8 in the world among welterweights by Combat Press and is the No.1 contender for the GLORY title. Therefore, many expected the fighter to perform admirably and make his way towards the title. Going into the fight, many people believed ‘Hamicha’ to be the favorite. The fighter lived up to the expectations as he won the fight via a 1st round TKO.

Mezouari started the fight in great fashion and immediately pushed Hoduk towards the rope. However, Hoduk did not back down and fired some good hooks and gained a brief separation. ‘Hamicha’ then hit an incredible head kick and scored with a jab. Towards the minute mark of the fight is when Mezouari started really attacking Hoduk.

‘Hamicha’ landed various body kicks and unloaded on Hoduk with a series of punches. Finally, with an incredible left hook to the body, Mezouari knocked Hoduk off his feet. Hoduk was then unable to get up before time, thus giving ‘Hamicha’ a well-deserved victory.

What to expect from GLORY 78 after the incredible victory of Mohamed ‘Hamicha’ Mezouari?

The fight between Mohamed Mezouari and Vedat Hoduk was the first fight of the main card of GLORY 78. And although this fight was one of the most anticipated fights of the night. There are still plenty of great fights yet to happen at the event.
