Two lightweights are set to battle it out in the preliminary card of UFC Fight Night: Rozenstruik vs. Sakai. Promising lightweight Mason Jones will take on veteran Brazilian fighter Alan Patrick in a match to see who gets back to winning ways first.

This will be Jones’ second fight in the UFC after he dropped a unanimous decision loss against Mike Davis in his debut fight with the organization. However, he was undefeated before that fight and was on a ten-fight winning streak. He fought all ten of his fights with Cage Warriors. Additionally, his finishing ability was the main reason he got his move to the UFC.

His opponent Alan Patrick has fought eight times in the UFC. He is 5-3 in those fights, which isn’t too bad. However, he has lost two fights in a row now and needs to find a win here to stay in the organization. His unanimous decision loss to Bobby Green in his last fight was the lowest point in his UFC career, and he doesn’t have the luxury of losing this fight like Jones.
