Paige VanZant’s transition to bare-knuckle fighting has not been the easiest. The former UFC fighter signed a lucrative deal with BKFC after leaving the UFC as a free agent. However, ’12 Gauge’ has not been able to deliver thus far, as she is yet to secure a win after two fights in the promotion.
Paige VanZant took to Instagram to share her thoughts on the release of a video on her YouTube channel. ‘A Kicka** Love Story’ features the behind-the-scenes of Paige and her husband as they navigate their way through the ups and downs of being elite combat sports athletes.

The caption on the post said, “I get asked a lot about my emotions after a loss and how I keep smiling through all that life has thrown at me….. well, the truth is, it’s not always sunshine and rainbows. Rocky said it best “life is about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward”. I took this loss and every loss extremely hard. I can honestly say that I worked my a** off. And put 100% of myself in that fight.”

‘12 Gauge’ continued, “I want to be someone that others can look at and say, one loss does not define me. I am so much more then what I do for a living. I am going to continue fighting because that is what I do. I am a strong, beautiful, talented women. I do not quit when things get hard, I quit when I am finished. And I am not finished!! Paige VanZant is in a must-win situation ahead of her third fight with BKFC

VanZant took on Rachael Ostovich as the two headlined the BKFC card on 23rd July. As ‘12 Gauge’ was convinced she had won the fight, she stormed off when the decision was given in favor of Ostovich. This opened the floodgates of hate and criticism towards VanZant for being a sore loser.

VanZant has been unable to secure a win since January 2019. Hence, ’12 Gauge’ now finds herself in a position where she has to win her next fight in BKFC, which brings added pressure.
