Magomed Bibulatov has just made a strong case in contention for knockout of the year. The former UFC fighter recently fought Rodrigo Praia at the ACA 112- Absolute Championship. ‘Chaborz’ as he is known hails from Grozny in Russia. He delivered a spectacular knockout in front of the hometown crowd.

Bibulatov (17-2) had just four knockouts in his career prior to this. His fifth, however, might be his best one yet or one of the best ones we have ever seen. The knockout was reminiscent of Edson Barboza’s knockout of Terry Etim all the way back in 2012.

In the knockout’s clip, enthusiasts see Magomed Bibulatov assessing the distance between him and Praia. Once ‘Chaborz’ felt that Rodrigo was in range, he unleashed a spinning wheel kick which landed flush. As soon as the kick landed Praia collapsed faced down onto the canvas. The fight was immediately stopped as Rodrigo was separated from his senses. This has to be one of the best-timed kicks seen in MMA.

Upon being released, Bibulatov signed with the Absolute Championship Akhmat and is on a three-fight win streak. All three have come through KO/TKO. In Rodrigo Praia; however, ‘Chaborz’ faced a very dangerous opponent who was on a four-fight win streak with a staggering 67% of his wins coming via TKO.

Bibulatov is ranked third in the Absolute Championship Akhmat bantamweight rankings. With three straight wins, he has made a good case for a title shot against the reigning bantamweight champion, Deivi Daniel Oliveira De Almeida. The champion is on an eight-fight win streak and will be a tough adversary for Bibulatov.
