Bi “Killer Bee” Nguyen is anticipating an exciting showdown at ONE: BAD BLOOD against a rival who is one of the atomweight division’s most dangerous strikers.

However, the Vietnamese-American star is sure that her striking prowess will be enough to defeat “MMA Sister” Lin Heqin this Friday, 11 February, in Singapore.

“I think I am [the better striker] because I’m more dynamic. I think that I also hold more power. I didn’t see it in her last fight that she had much power. I think with those simple combos, she stays active, and she’s long, but I have more angles,” Nguyen offered.

“I have more power in my punches, and I’m going to have a lot of fun just seeing how smart I can strike in this fight.”

Bi Nguyen on Ritu Phogat vs. Lin Heqin

She enters this bout after a setback against Jenelyn Olsim, while her Chinese rival returns to the Circle following a defeat to #4-ranked atomweight Ritu “The Indian Tigress” Phogat.

Her rival’s defeat to the Indian wrestler has given her confidence, especially since the Xtreme Couture member became the first fighter to dent Phogat’s otherwise perfect MMA record.

In her upcoming contest, Nguyen plans to exploit the gaping holes in the Beijing-based competitor’s arsenal.

“I think I’m just going to be the slicker fighter. I have more angles, more dynamic striking. I have the takedowns, and I’m thankful to have her fight with Ritu to look at because I saw what Ritu could have done to finish her but didn’t do,” Nguyen said.

“They went to a decision, and Ritu dominated, but I saw a few points in that fight where a slight adjustment could have finished the fight.”

That said, Nguyen and her coaches have spent the past couple of months working on a formidable game plan to take out the Haosheng MMA representative.

‘Killer Bee’ predicts a second-round finish at ONE: BAD BLOOD

The 32-year-old hopes it will be enough to secure her second finish and her fourth victory at ONE Championship.

“I’m not huge on putting my emotional value on how things come out, to be honest. I’m just going to go in there, and I’m going to overwhelm her with my striking, and hopefully, that opens up a finish,” she stated.

“I see a finish in the second round. I see myself figuring it out and finding it in the second round, whatever it may be.”
