From Alain Ngalani to Marcus Buchecha, Paul Daley, and others, several MMA fighters have welcomed the Brazilian star into the ONE Championship roster. Galvao might enter the middleweight ride, if not the welterweight or light heavyweight. In that case, the Brazilian grappler can intensify the scene even more.

Hence, it justifies Chatri Sityodtong’s excitement regarding the signing of Andre Galvao. The ONE Kingpin announced the news on social media, sending several fans into a frenzy.

Introducing Galvao to his followers, Sityodtong wrote, “Please join me in welcoming Andre Galvao to ONE! A multiple-time World Champion, he is one of the greatest grapplers in history. His goal is to win world titles in both MMA and submission grappling in ONE.”

Galvao is an elite-level grappler and has enough experience on the mat. However, he hasn’t been inside the MMA cage for a long time. Although he was a relevant name in the Strike Force, a loss against Tyron Woodley reportedly ended his MMA run in 2010.
39-year-old Galvao has a professional MMA record of 5-2, with 1 KO and 3 submissions in his favor. As he is returning to MMA action after more than a decade, it will be interesting to see whether he can still fare with the elite-level martial artists.

ONE Championship can already line up fights for Andre Galvao
Following Galvao’s signing, several matchups have already been lurking around his corner. While Chatri Sityodtong asked the netizens to comment about Galvao’s potential opponents. Alain Ngalani appeared as an ideal matchmaker. Ngalani offered himself to battle Galvao at welterweight.

But on a reverse scene, he pitched ‘The Burmese Python’ Aung La Sang to welcome Galvao at middleweight or light heavyweight. Well, these are just ideas. ONE roster is extremely diverse and has a lot to offer. That said, Andre Galvao can also come across a harsh reality.
