After tonight’s fight, Dana White and fans alike will be glad that the flyweight division was not cut from the UFC. Ever since the division was under scrutiny, it has produced nothing but great fights and champions. Brandon Moreno and Deiveson Figueiredo today were the perfect example of the same.
‘Daico’ won his belt against Benavidez in July. His first title defense was supposed to be against Cody Garbrandt last month. However, due to an injury, ‘No Love’ pulled out of the fight. At UFC 255 last month, both Moreno and Figueiredo finished their respective opponents in the first round, which set up a title clash just a few weeks later at UFC 256.

The common consensus is that a rematch between the two should be the next fight scheduled. If this is the case, Garbrandt will have to wait for a while before he can fight for the title.
