Conor McGregor vs Khabib Nurmagomedov was the biggest UFC match up of all time. It broke all PPV records set before it and became a landmark fight for the sport. However, it remains one of the most controversial.

‘The Eagle’ jumped the fence and attacked Conor’s corner after the fight, with a brawl spilling out. The biggest fight was tarnished by very un-champion-like behavior, but the animosity built because of Conor’s personal verbal attacks.

The disdain between the camps still exists. Khabib Nurmagomedov’s manager Ali Abdelaziz spoke to The Schmo about Conor’s recent antics. He highlighted ‘Notorious’ recently leaking confidential DMs between him and Dana White.

“Dana White have all the right in the world to be upset. He was so nice to him, so polite to him, and it’s proof in the pudding. He wanted to fight Diego Sanchez over Justin Gaethje. ‘I’ll fight anybody’ ‘ey, let me fight Diego’… Why you wanna fight with guys over their prime? He is the biggest piece of shit I have ever seen, him and his entire team.”

Conor McGregor losing his credibility?

Many have questioned Conor’s intent with his recent actions. Dana White himself expressed extreme displeasure at the Irish fighter leaking his DMs. So, even Abdelaziz is in the right for being mad at Conor. Many have said the former champion is doing all of this as a cheap publicity stunt.

He went from announcing a fight against Manny Pacquiao to agreeing to a charity fight against Dustin Poirier on the same night as UFC 256. That, along with the leaked DMs and requesting for a fight against Diego Sanchez, means that Conor has generated a lot of headlines in the last week or so.

These incidents along with his public misdemeanors and repeated announcements of retirement have confused everyone. What exactly is Conor trying to do? Despite the ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone fight, no one is pitting Conor to be a legitimate title contender. If that is his goal, why is he looking to fight an unranked Diego Sanchez as opposed to interim champion Justin Gaethje?

Abdelaziz’s opinion on Conor’s team is his own. But, the validity around Conor’s actions seems to be disappearing for everyone.
