Kayla Harrison is one of the most decorated female fighters in MMA right now. She is a two-time Olympic gold medallist in Judo. Her quality was on full display as she secured a dominant second-round stoppage win over Courtney King in her debut with Invicta FC. Harrison dominated from the first bell and left King in a bloody mess by the time she was done with her.

Harrison is only eight fights into her MMA career; however, has been a lifelong martial artist. She will be aiming to put on a decent run of victories and finishes in order to catch the champion, Pam Sorenson.

Kayla Harrison speaks on a mega-fight against Cris Cyborg

In an interview with MMA Junkie, the reporter asked Kayla her thoughts on a potential fight against Cris Cyborg. She replied, “Of course, I would love to fight Cyborg. She’s one of the greats. I don’t think it’ll happen before the PFL season, but I’ll fight anybody. Obviously, Amanda is my teammate, so it’s a little different from the friendship side of it. But she’s the greatest of all time so of course, someday I would like to be considered good enough to fight the greatest of all time.”

The Olympic gold medallist continued, “That’s the goal, the goal is to become the greatest of all time. But Cyborg is another female superstar, legend. She’s a legend of the sport and I would jump at that opportunity.”

It is well known that Harrison is an ardent admirer of teammate and double champion Amanda Nunes. She has stated that she aspires to become like ‘The Lioness’ as a mixed martial artist. A fight between the duo would be extremely interesting.
