Amanda Ribas is one of the most exciting fighters in the UFC’s strawweight division. Ribas has had a good start to the UFC and is currently 4-0 in the promotion since making her debut. The American Top Team prospect has looked extremely impressive in all four of her victories and now aims to make it 5-0 in a few weeks when she fights at UFC 257.
Ribas is a breath of fresh air. Not only is she an extremely interesting fighter to watch, but she is also an extremely lively personality who gives the best interviews out of all fighters. Her bubbly nature, however, turns into a vicious one once the cage door closes.

Amanda Ribas reveals her pre-weight cut ritual with Nutella
When asked how her weight cut was going, she said, “I still have a little cheek…. My first goal is the weight for sure. If I give my word, I will make 115, I need to make 115…. After this (interview) I will train and drink water without chocolate.”

Ribas then went on to show a jar of Nutella and some chocolates she had carried with her and said, “Now Nutella, I eat just a little bit before my weight cut. Because it is good for my mind, I relax. But a little bit.”

Ribas made her UFC debut in June 2019. She has since won all of her fights in the UFC and secured 50% of those wins via submission. The Brazilian takes on her toughest test to date when she fights Rodriguez at UFC 257.
Rodriguez is currently one rank above her in the women’s strawweight division. Her last but was a loss against Carla Esparza in July 2020. She will be looking to bounce back against an up-and-coming talent in Amanda Ribas.
