Conor McGregor is one of the biggest stars in sport right now. The Irish superstar transcended the sport of MMA and achieved heights of fame and success never seen before in the sport. His success inside the Octagon has allowed him to venture into multiple businesses such as alcohol, clothing, media among many others. 

However, as it has happened in the past, not every athlete can handle the money and fame thrown at them at a tender age. The spotlight shines brightly on them, and everything they do is scrutinized by the media and the fans alike. ‘The Notorious’ is no stranger to the same. He has been involved in a host of misdemeanors outside the Octagon.

Conor McGregor states “The cream always rises to the top” 

The Notorious’ recently took to Twitter to answer questions from a few fans. One user claimed that fans never got to see his full potential due to the distractions.

Conor replied, “The game is still very young! Anderson didn’t start in the origination till he was 31. The world will know for real when this is all said and done. Who’s who and what’s what. Mark it down. The cream always rises to the top! Just like a good pint of Proper No.Twelve with cream!”

At only 32, Conor has achieved a lot in the sport. He holds multiple records in the Octagon and has cemented his place among the best to have ever done it.

However, we’ve seen a different version of Conor lately. ‘The Notorious’ that entered the octagon all the way till he won the second belt, was a man with tunnel vision. His relentless focus was on becoming the double champion in the UFC. 

Ever since that fight, Conor McGregor has been in the news for what he has done outside the cage rather than in the cage. Multiple run-ins with the law have marred his reputation. Add to that multiple business ventures that take time away from the sport. This was something that did not exist as he was coming up.

In his most recent outing, we a Conor McGregor reminiscent of the past. A dominant performance over Cerrone gave fans hopes that he was back to the version that won two belts in the UFC.

Conor has time on his side and for the sake of the MMA community, everyone hopes that he maintains his focus and exhibits what he is capable of inside the Octagon. If he can have half of Silva’s success when he returns, it will add to his already glittering resume. He will set a new standard for greatness in the company.
