Israel Adesanya put on a clinical performance against Paulo Costa at UFC 253. The ‘Last Stylebender’ dominated from start to finish and was in control of the whole fight. In the second round, Adesanya landed a left hand and dropped Costa, which subsequently led to the finish.

While Costa was on the ground, Israel piled on the punches. As referee Jason Herzog stepped in to stop the fight, Adesanya made a few vulgar gestures while he stood over his opponent. This did not sit well with the challenger, who took to social media to call Adesanya “human trash” and demanded a re-match. Twitter, however, had a field day with Costa’s demands.

‘Young Superstar’ Ben Askren replied to Paulo’s video, saying, “Don’t tell us something happened unless you elaborate. This is effing stupid.”

Luke Thomas and Max Holloway then tag-teamed on a tweet by TMZ sports. Luke said “Not a great idea unless the goal is to get h**ped again” To which Holloway replied saying “This made me LOL.”

John Martian from the Martian MMA podcast reacted to the video, saying, “I guess they don’t have a saying for too little, too late in Brazil.”

Another fan tweeted in reaction saying “Lmfaoooo that was wild… talkin all that shit boy got the smoke.”

In another comic reaction to Costa’s wild claims for a rematch, a tweet said, “Izzy threw more hip thrusts than Costa threw left hooks.”

To add more salt to the wound, another fan took a dig at Costa and tweeted, “Air hump and break dance on this dude.”

‘Izzy’ may have overstepped his boundaries when it came to the post-fight celebrations. However, there is no denying that the fight was a complete beat-down. Israel picked apart Costa and then finished him in the very second round of the fight. After losing a fight in that fashion, the re-match that Costa demands is a long shot.

Do you think Costa deserves a re-match? Or did does he need to build his way back to a title shot?
