How did Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley come about?
Recent reports suggest that Tyron Woodley is next in line against YouTuber Jake Paul. During this, Paul, along with a few members of his team, started disrespecting Tyron Woodley, which did not sit well with Woodley or the MMA community. He has since been gunning for a fight against ‘The Problem Child’.
After his most recent loss against Vicente Luque at UFC 260, the UFC released Woodley and he was free to negotiate with team Paul. ‘The Problem Child’ was promoted by Triller in his last fight against Ben Askren which reportedly sold a whopping 1.5 million PPV buys. He then signed a multi-fight deal with Showtime, and this is the first bout in that deal.
