The UFC was able to put on its first show in the state of New York in November 2016. After MMA was legalized in the state, the promotion has made it a point to return to Madison Square Garden every November with a stacked card. This time around, it is no different, as recent reports suggest that the UFC has added a huge bantamweight bout to the card. This will feature Frankie Edgar fighting Marlon Vera.

A welterweight title fight between Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington will headline UFC 268. A lightweight bout between Michael Chandler and Justin Gaethje will serve as the co-main event on the night. However, at this point in time, the UFC has not officially confirmed any of the aforementioned matchups or Madison Square Garden as the location.

In his most recent outing, Edgar was on the receiving end of a brutal flying knee by Cory Sandhagen that knocked him out cold in under 30-seconds of their fight. Prior to that, Edgar secured a split decision win over Pedro Munhoz. Now, ‘The Answer’ will hope to prove that he still has a lot of fight left in him with a win over ‘Chito’.

Marlon Vera, on the other hand, is 3-2 in his last five fights in the UFC. In his most recent outing, Vera secured a unanimous decision win over Davey Grant.
