Therefore, earlier this week, it was announced that ‘The Eagle’ signed a professional contract with Legion FC to become a professional footballer. The news spread like wildfire and was picked up by every major news outlet. However, to the dismay of fans, it turns out that the rumors of ‘The Eagle’ making his way into professional soccer are not true.

Renowned MMA journalist John Morgan put out a tweet in reply to an article that stated Nurmagomedov had signed a contract with Legion FC. He said, “Tried to confirm this report of @TeamKhabib signing for a Russian soccer team with @AliAbdelaziz00. He said there was “absolutely no truth” to the report and labeled it “completely fake news.”
