Conor McGregor is possibly the greatest MMA fighter of all time with the mic in his hand. While he could make a strong case for inside the cage, McGregor is a genuine master at the art of promotion. He has built his brand up to be worth millions, and now he is easily the biggest fixture for any fight card that the UFC can build.
Co-main eventer Dan Hooker isn’t as excited for the UFC 257 press conference, as he may end up on the wrong side of a Conor McGregor highlight clip. Hooker is facing Michael Chandler in the co-main event. He opened up to MMAJunkie about being wary of Conor at the press conference.

“To be honest, I’m a fan of the sport – it’ll be pretty surreal to be sitting up with those guys at such a huge press conference like that. I don’t put too much thought into it. I’m not a guy who goes away and practices my lines in the mirror or anything like that. I’m going to take it as it comes. Ninety-nine percent of the focus will be on Conor and what he’s going to do and what he’s going to say.”

Hooker added, “You’ve got to be on your toes. You don’t want to get ‘Who the (expletive) is that guy’d?’ or something like that. He could chuck you in the can in one line.”

The press conference for this event is expected to draw a lot of eyes. Hooker should be wary of ending up on the wrong side of one of those barbs. However, he is a top-ranked fighter in the same division as Conor. He may just get his share of a verbal smackdown from the Irish superstar.
