Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier: An epic rivalry

McGregor (22-5) and Poirier (27-6) have fought each other twice. The latest one came earlier this year at UFC 257, wherein the latter fight ended with Poirier avenging his defeat from 2014.

The ‘Diamond’ humbled McGregor en route to a TKO win, handing him his only career loss via KO/TKO. Poirier had also passed out an opportunity to fight for the lightweight gold after the departure of Khabib Nurmagomedov just to fight McGregor.

The fight also has a big significance attached to it. The winner is most likely to battle for the lightweight championship next against Charles Oliveira.

With so many things attached to a single event, the trilogy has already garnered enough attention and one cannot wait for more for the judgment day to come.
