Francis Ngannou once again displayed his freak knockout power as he dispatched Stipe Miocic in two rounds to win the belt at UFC 260. The prevailing notion going into the fight was that the winner of the main event at UFC 260 would face Jon Jones, who is preparing for a move up in weight.

However, after ‘The Predator’s’ performance on Saturday night, Jon Jones tweeted saying that he would take the fight against Ngannou for the right price. Many fans interpreted this as being ‘scared’ and a way to get out of a fight with Ngannou.

Dana White himself at the press conference stated that if he was Jones, and he was watching the fight, he would move back down to  185-pounds.

Daniel Cormier heaps praise on his former arch-rival Jon Jones

On the recent episode of ‘DC’ & Helwani, the two men discussed the narrative that Jon Jones was afraid to step in and fight Ngannou.

DC’ said, “Jon Jones- for everything that is between us- is not afraid to fight Francis Ngannou. This is absurd that people think (that)…. I understand that most people would be afraid. But guess who else wasn’t afraid Stipe Miocic, and Derrick Lewis, Ciryl Gane. Those guys aren’t afraid.”

The former champion continued, “Make no mistake about it, Jones believes that he will beat Francis Ngannou. As any great champion would believe that they would beat him….Jon Jones is one of the most talented guys that I have seen inside the octagon. And if you have to find someone that can piece together a way to solve that (Ngannou) puzzle, it’s Jon Jones.”

However, ‘Bones’ has always found a way to win. ‘Bones’ and his team are unparalleled in being able to devise a game plan fit for the opponent and execute it to perfection almost every time, and there is no reason to believe that he can not and will not do the same against ‘The Predator’.
