Arguably one of the greatest of all time, former middleweight champion Anderson Silva, will step inside the Octagon for one last time against MMA veteran Uriah Hall this Sunday inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas. Spider Silva will finally bid farewell after having ruled the MMA world for more than a decade.

While the prime Anderson Silva is long gone, it’s always exciting to see him step inside the Octagon. Even at 45, Spider Silva continues to compete against the absolute best that the middleweight has to offer. Recently, former dual champion Daniel Cormier spoke about the Brazilian fighter’s legendary career.

“It’s finally gonna be done for Anderson. It kind of su**s. Everybody hoped that he would be done prior. I still get that thing when that song comes on, I hope he comes out to his song.” Cormier said, reminiscing to Silva’s early days as the undisputed UFC’s middleweight champion.

Daniel Cormier has faced Silva inside the Octagon, picking up an impressive unanimous decision win over the former champion at the light-heavyweight division back in July 2016.

All of our time comes. You can only hold on for so long. Anderson realizes that. It’s over. It was phenomenal to compete against him and get a victory. It doesn’t matter how long you got to train, you look across the Octagon, and there’s Anderson Silva.”

The former dual champion only had one wish from Spier Silva – to walk out to the Octagon on the song, which has sent tremors down several UFC fighters during his prime years as the middleweight champion.

“This is the last fight,” Silva added, “For sure, this is the last fight. Probably. I love the sport. I’ve prepared my mind for this. I’ve prepared for fight my entire life, but yes, this is my last fight in UFC.” Silva spoke to MMAJunkie.

A lot has changed since then. While Uriah Hall has become a true veteran of the sport, his inconsistency inside the Octagon has kept him from ever grabbing the UFC gold. Be that as it may, Anderson Silva vs Uriah Hall makes for an exciting fight between two incredible strikers who have time and again proved their mettle inside the Octagon.
