Ever since the UFC started putting on fights in May, there has been a lot of uncertainty. A lot of fights have been canceled or rescheduled. Darren Till vs Jack Hermansson joins the list of fights to have been canceled. This latest cancelation has robbed fans of a mouth-watering middleweight clash.
Though injuries have always played a big part in the UFC since day one, this year has brought about its own challenges. COVID-19 and its restrictions have meant that a lot more fights have been canceled or rescheduled this year. ‘The Gorilla’ pulled out of the card due to an injury. There were concerns that Darren Till would not participate in his upcoming bout against Jack Hermansson. This was mainly because the United Kingdom had announced that it would go back into lockdown for a month. However, it is an injury and not the lockdown that has forced Till out of the competition.
Following his loss to Tyron Woodley for the welterweight belt, Till moved up to middleweight. He is 1-1 in the UFC at 185 pounds with a win over Kelvin Gastelum. The fight against Hermansson would have been an excellent opportunity for Till to bounce back.
The details about Darren’s injury and how long he will be out for have not been revealed. MMA fans will be hoping that they are able to see Darren back in the Octagon as soon as possible.

The saying, “One man’s loss is another man’s gain” could not be more apt in this situation for Kevin Holland. ‘Trailblazer’ is currently unranked in the division. He is on a tear at the moment with four wins on the trot. His most recent win was a stoppage victory over Charlie Ontiveros at the end of last month.
In his post-fight interview, he had mentioned he was ready to fight as soon as possible and that he wanted a high ranked opposition. A fight against Jack Hermansson fits the bill. A win against ‘The Joker’ would see his stock rise immensely.
