As the UFC starts piecing together fights for the first half of 2021, MMA fans are in for one treat after another. The UFC prides itself on making the best face the best, and 2021 is no exception. The UFC has stacked the first few events of the new year with some incredible fights like Max Holloway vs Calvin Kattar and Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier 

February kicks off with an event on February 6th, which will most likely be headlined by Frankie Edgar taking on Cory Sandhagen. Recent reports suggest that Devonte Smith will take on Alex da Silva on the same card as well.

Alex da Silva vs Devonte Smith set to be an exciting fight at lightweight

Marcel Dorf tweeted, “Devonte Smith (@KOE_KINGKAGEUFC) will fight Alex da Silva (@AlexlekoUFC) at UFC event on February 6th. (first rep. @LynchOnSports) #UFC #MMA #UFCESPN”

Leko’ made his UFC debut against Alexander Yakovlev in April 2019. He lost the fight, but bounced back brilliantly with a win over Rodrigo Vargas. He lost his last fight this September.

Silva is an excellent striker and has won 62% of his fights via T/KO. He has also secured seven wins via submission and is a well-rounded fighter. He is currently 1-2 in the UFC and will be hoping to bounce back to the win column with a win over Smith.

King Kage’ on the other hand, made his debut on Dana White’s Contender Series in August 2018 with a win over Joseph Lowry. He then won his next two fights in the UFC via stoppage.

 Most recently, he succumbed to a loss against Khama Worthy at UFC 241 in August 2019. ‘King Kage’ will also be looking to bounce back to the win column with a win over a tough adversary in Alex da Silva.
