UFC superstar Dustin Poirier has stated, in a recent interview with MMAJunkie, that he will appear in an episode of the YouTube series ‘Hot Ones’ hosted by Sean Evans. He said, “I’m pumped about that. I have been a fan of the show for a long time.”

Hot Ones is a game show where the host Sean Evans welcomes guests into his arena, called the ‘pepperdome’, to compete against one another. They have to answer trivia questions, and the winner gets twenty-five thousand dollars. But the catch is that they have to do this while eating incredibly spicy hot wings.

However, Poirier is going as a celebrity, and thus, Sean Evans will interview him while he eats the impossibly hot chicken wings. Some other notable guests of the show are NFL Legend Rob Gronkowski, Skateboarding virtuoso Tony Hawk, WWE superstar Chris “Y2J” Jericho, and one of the best players in the NBA, Kevin Durant.

Interestingly, Poirier owns a brand of hot sauce called ‘Poirier’s Louisiana Style Hot Sauce.’ He partnered with Heartbeat Hot Sauce to create the product, which was a culmination of all the things he loves about his hometown of Lafayette, Louisiana.

It contains a lot of ingredients like aged cayenne peppers, sea salt, celery, vinegar, canola oil and garlic, topped off with red habaneros to top it off. His appearance on Hot Ones will go a long way towards the advertising of his product.

The Rising Stock of Dustin Poirier

Poirier is coming off of two blockbuster wins over Conor McGregor and Dan Hooker. He beat McGregor in the second round by knockout and anointed himself as the ‘People’s Champion’.

He beat Dan Hooker in a fight of the year contender bout back in April, and is now looking for a fight with either Nate Diaz or McGregor. A third fight with McGregor will indeed decide which man will come out on top. They are both currently tied on one each.
