Carlos Condit had a great win on UFC Fight Night: Holm v Aldana over Court McGee. This ended a five-fight skid for the former UFC Interim Welterweight Champion. Condit had been absent from the cage for almost 2 years before he rebounded with this win over McGee. Condit clearly is fired up to get more opportunities and possibly try to have one last run in the upper echelons of the division.

However, where does Condit even go with his current situation? Can he get back to fighting ranked competitors, or should he look for the biggest money fights with his name value? Many young fans don’t know about Condit and his abilities. However, money fights with him are actually available with the right opponents.

However, people would love to watch him take on classic fighters like Lawler, Diaz, or Brown. These are safer fights, considering the relatively even playing field all these veterans have.

You can feasibly match Carlos Condit with anyone. But with his age and experience in the sport, it is best to utilize him to his best abilities before the curtain on his career closes.

It seems unlikely that Condit has enough left to challenge any of the top-10 Welterweights. It is best to use this part of his career to have fights with a lot of appeal without a major impact on the rankings. The suggestions are already out there. Question is, will Dana White book them?
