The Women’s flyweight division in the UFC is one of the most stacked divisions in the promotion. Despite having a dominant champion, the UFC’s conveyor belt of talent ensures that the champion is not only kept on her toes but also gives fans exciting matchups.
The flyweight belt will be on the line this weekend when Jennifer Maia takes on Valentina Shevchenko. However, the likes of Jessica Andrade and Lauren Murphy are all patiently waiting in the ranks for the next title shot.

Andrea Lee vs Gillian Robertson set to be an exciting matchup at flyweight
Recent reports suggest that a flyweight match between Gillian Robertson and Andrea Lee is in the works for UFC 256.
Andrea Lee joined the UFC in May 2018. She secured a win on her debut and won her next two fights as well moving to 3-0. However, fights have not been going her way and she has lost her last three matches. Most recently, she lost a fight via unanimous decision to Roxanne Modafferi in September.

She will be looking to end a slump in her career against a tough adversary in Gillian Robertson.

Andrea Lee is currently ranked #10 in the division, and Gillian Robertson is ranked #12. A win at UFC 256 will be crucial for both fighters as they aim to break into the top 10.

A win against Lee will mean that ‘The Savage’ moves to 3-0 in 2020. It will also push her up the ranks and give her a good chance of securing a fight against a top 5 opponent. A win against Robertson for ‘KGB’ will mean the end of a three-fight skid. On the flipside, a fourth loss on the trot will be detrimental for Andrea Lee.
