Francis Ngannou, Jon Jones, Kamaru Usman and Others React On Twitter As Israel Adesanya Destroys Paulo Costa at UFC 253

Israel Adesanya vanquished rival Paulo Costa in the main event of UFC 253 to retain his Middleweight Championship. The fight was one of the most anticipated title matches in recent memory, and it did not disappoint. The middleweight fighters delivered with a great fight that ended with ‘The Last Stylebender’ finishing the challenger in the second round.

Adesanya’s win hasn’t gone unnoticed in the MMA fraternity. Fellow fighters have been openly discussing the fight on Twitter. This has led to the top MMA fighters in the world openly acknowledging Izzy’s performance.

Former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones took Izzy’s win as an opportunity to slander Paulo Costa.

The greatest flyweight Champion in UFC history, Demetrious Johnson was very complimentary of Izzy’s performance as well. He called it ‘pure perfection’.

UFC welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman is known to be good friends with Adesanya. He supported ‘Izzy’ on Twitter after his dominant win over Costa.

UFC featherweight and BJJ standout Ryan Hall called Izzy’s performance the greatest performance he ever saw in MMA. Other fighters like Aljamain Sterling and Matt Brown also complimented Adesanya.

UFC welterweight Stephen Thompson called it a “beautiful striking” display, high praise coming from ‘Wonderboy.’

UFC heavyweight contender Francis Ngannou gave his props up to Adesanya, calling him the middleweight king.

Israel Adesanya proves he is the best in the division

UFC 253 saw Adesanya officially take the mantle of one of the greatest fighters in the world. He did enough to claim that crown prior to this. However, the Yoel Romero fight left a bad taste in everyone’s mouth. Despite that, ‘Izzy’ reminded everyone of his finishing prowess with this win over Costa.

While Costa saw his undefeated streak snap, it happened at the hands of the consensus best middleweight in MMA. Hence, he will look to rebound from this fight and make his way into championship contention again. ‘Borrachinha’ is a terrific fighter, and this loss shouldn’t be more than just a speed bump in his journey.

Adesanya now has the record and style of a true champion. He called out Jared Cannonier for his next title defense. Now, whether we see the fight happen or not, it is good to see ‘Izzy’ take charge.
