UFC middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya, uploaded a tweet showing his tribute to his dad and his mom’s gift. He uploaded a screenshot of ESPN MMA’s post on Instagram with a caption of his own.
“Give your loved ones their flowers while they’re here to receive them,” he said while referring to the ESPN MMA post. Adesanya was seen wearing a Dadsanya t-shirt to the UFC 259 press conference to honor his father in the post.
He also uploaded a photo where he was standing with his mom, and they were both posing with the Porsche that he gifted her. He captioned the photo, “If flowers are too much, then just give them a Porsche!”

Adesanya has said previously that gifting his mother a car was a sign of success in the countdown UFC released for UFC 259. “Where we come from, from our culture, like it’s a sign of success, you know. When you can do something like that, I just want to spread love, spread joy, and inspire,” said Israel Adesanya.
The Countdown showed several more moments like these, and it was an interesting insight to watch before Israel Adesanya’s fight with the current light heavyweight champion, Jan Blachowicz.
Israel Adesanya and the quest to join the elite double champ club
‘The Last Stylebender’ won the middleweight belt when he beat Robert Whittaker at UFC 243. He then defended it against Yoel Romero at UFC 248 and, more recently, against Paulo Costa at UFC 253. However, UFC 253 was also the event in which Jan Blachowicz knocked out Dominick Reyes to win the light heavyweight belt.

Adesanya had a brutal back-and-forth with Jon Jones on Twitter, which fizzled out into indifference. Jones moved up to heavyweight, and thus Adesanya had the perfect opportunity to move up to 205 and claim the belt.
The UFC set it up, and now, just after winning the hardest and the biggest fight of his career, Blachowicz has to defend his belt against one of the best strikers in the UFC. A win for ‘The Last Stylebender’ will see him become a double champ, and it will cement his place in MMA glory.
