The bantamweights have been going at each other on Twitter. Sean O’Malley, Aljamain Sterling, and Petr Yan have been involved in a war of words with each other over the past few hours. All parties involved have fired shots, calling each other a host of pleasantries such as cheater, actor, and piece of sh*t human being to name a few.
Former two-division UFC world champion, Henry Cejudo, took to Twitter to make his feelings very clear on the Twitter war. ‘Triple C’ said, “I hate when all my children can’t stop bickering. @SugaSeanMMA I’m surprised you didn’t break your ankle writing this tweet. @PetrYanUFC you kneed a Time-Out, and @funkmasterMMA I hope you are enjoying playing cosplay with you’re fake belt.” #bendtheknee’S”

The current bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling responded to the tweet stating, “Whenever you wanna throw your name back in the shark tank hat. Your “children” are tired of papa Henry’s empty threats.”

What is next for Aljamain Sterling, Petr Yan, and Sean O’Malley?
The three men in question are arguably three of the biggest names at 135-pounds in the UFC. After an unexpected loss against Marlon Vera, ‘Sugar’ bounced back to the win column with a stunning knockout win over Thomas Almeida. This further cemented his claim as one of the best in the division. ‘Sugar’ will take on Louis Smolka in a few weeks’ time at UFC 264 on the same card as Conor McGregor.

Aljamain Sterling and Petr Yan will without a doubt face each other in their next fight given the way the first fight ended. Following his title win, Sterling underwent surgery which will keep him out of action for a long time. ‘Funkmaster’ stated that he expects himself to fight around August, September, or October. However, at this point in time, nothing is confirmed.

Given that there is no fixed timeline as to when Yan will face Sterling again, there is a strong possibility that ‘No Mercy’ might take another fight before he faces ‘Funkmaster’. There are plenty of good fights that Yan can choose from should he wish to stay active.
