Here’s All You Need to Know About Michael Chandler and His Wife

Michael Chandler is a name that transcends UFC borders and is counted amongst the finest fighters in the world of MMA. Before applying his trade in the UFC, he was already an established star in Bellator MMA and had a brief stint with Strikeforce.

While much is known about him thanks to his perennial presence on social media, there is only brief knowledge about his family as the star tries to keep it under wraps, away from the world.

Wife of Michael Chandler- Brie Willet

‘Iron’ and Brie Willet have now been together for almost 7 years. They got engaged in March 2014 after dating for 2 years, to be married in September.

Willet was born in Columbia, Missouri, and was a student at Taylor University where she pursued Psychology and Biology. She then graduated from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, with a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies.

She would finally receive her Doctorate degrees from Lincoln Memorial University and the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Presently, she works as a resident PR in Critical Care for the University of Missouri Hospital. She previously worked as a counselor at Kanakuk Kamps after getting her medical science degree. Willet has a separate social media platform dedicated to the works she does, which can be seen in her Instagram profile.

When not with her husband, she spends time with her adopted son and close group of friends. Her friends and son always accompany her wherever she goes.

The Couple have adopted a son

In an interview, ‘Iron’ had revealed that his wife always wanted to adopt a child. He explained how the earlier experience of Willet with orphan kids was a major motivation behind adopting a child.

In 2017, they adopted a 9-month-old child. Initially, Chandler wanted a 6-month-old child but later, thinking of it as God’s wish, they went on to adopt the boy. They named him Hap Whitaker and recently celebrated his 4th birthday.

It’s a matchup of different worlds altogether, but they remain strong still after so many years. Chandler will require his biggest fans to motivate him further as he sets up to take on the biggest fight of his career soon.
