Here’s How Francis Ngannou Ended up Helping Flood Victims in Africa

UFC heavyweight contender Francis Ngannou has always tried to give back to the community. Since his rise to stardom in the UFC, ‘The Predator’ has been a celebrity to his hometown in Cameroon and often visits between fights.

Ngannou has started the ‘Francis Ngannou Foundation: For Cameroon’ which looks at helping those less fortunate. He has started his training center to help the youth of the region who aspire to be like him.

The heavyweight star also takes time to help people affected by natural causes through no fault of their own. In his recent YouTube video, Ngannou showcased his efforts to help a village nearby that had been hit with floods, with people suffering damage to their homes.

‘The Predator’ distributed supplies and even mattresses to help those affected. He explained, “My goal was to encourage them, to bring them emotional support. To help them understand that this is not the end of the world.”

The website of the Cameroon born star reads, “The mission of the Francis Ngannou Foundation is to provide the children of Cameroon with the skills to expand their horizons and realize their dreams.”

The Francis Ngannou Foundation is a non-profit organization created by the heavyweight star. Its goal is to to enable the youth of Cameroon to make a significant, positive difference in their lives. They have built the first fully equipped gym in Cameroon for the youth.

The heavyweight star has set up his first training center to help youth with a passion for martial arts. This place is designed for combat sports and equipped with a cage for judo, jiu-jitsu, and MMA.

Helping to inspire Africa

‘The Predator’ has risen from poverty and homelessness. The hardship Ngannou has faced, has made him a better person, and he is always looking to give back.

Ngannou labels his foundation as a personal project. He revealed that it was something he is happy to do and reminds him that he is capable of helping others. This is his way of giving back to society as a few years ago he was the one that needed help.
