Figueiredo wants a rematch with Brandon Moreno

The second fight, however, had a more definitive end. Moreno stopped Figueiredo in round three to win the belt., he became the first Mexican-born champion in the UFC. ‘Daico’ believes that he obliged to a rematch against Moreno and therefore it is only right that ‘The Assassin Baby’ repays the favor.

In a recent interview with MMA Fighting, he shared his thoughts on a potential rematch with Moreno. He said, “He’s a p**sy. Brandon Moreno is a p**sy because I was sick when I fought and beat him, and I gave him the rematch right away. I won that fight. They took a point away from me. He pretended to be hurt. He faked an eye poke so they would take points from me, but I still won. And now he doesn’t want to give me a rematch? He’s a p**sy.”

‘Daico’ continued, “I expected more from him. I expected him to act like a man. What I want the most is this trilogy with him, to fight him again. I hope he’s man enough to give me that rematch. I’d fight him wherever. United States, Mexico, I just want this trilogy. He can rest assured that I won’t be the same Figueiredo of last time. I’ll come back focused and I’ll knock out this p**sy inside his house.”

Deiveson Figueiredo not in Moreno’s plans

Deiveson Figueiredo has been gunning for a rematch ever since the loss at UFC 263. Brandon Moreno, however, has his sights set elsewhere. ‘The Assassin Baby’ believes that a rematch right away with Figueiredo is not something he has earned. The likes of Cody Garbrandt are more enticing names for the new champion.

At this point in time, nothing is confirmed. However, it is hard to see the promotion awarding Figueiredo a rematch, given he was convincingly beaten in the second fight. ‘Daico’ however, states that he lost focus during training camp and will not repeat the same mistake in a third fight. Which will mean a different result in the third fight, according to him.
