Tyron Woodley returns to action this weekend. However, this time around, instead of an octagon, ‘The Chosen One’ will step into a boxing ring. Woodley will make his boxing debut as he takes on ‘The Problem Child’ Jake Paul in an eight-round fight. The bout will be the first time both Paul and Woodley feature on the Showtime network.

There is a lot at stake for both men involved in the fight. Reputation, legacy, money, among other things. There is also, however, a tattoo involved for the fighter that loses the fight. In their press conference in the build-up to the fight, Paul agreed that he would get an ‘I love Tyron Woodley’ tattoo if he lost. Likewise, ‘The Chosen One’ will have to get an ‘I love Jake Paul’ if he loses.

Woodley shared his thoughts on the bet while speaking to Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour. He said, “I’ll let him negotiate. If he don’t want to get the tattoo, he will have to pay me a nice bag. It was his bet. So we can swap it for a bag. Either you get the tattoo, or you give up some cash. Donate it to my charity.”

Tyron Woodley is not the most technical striker. However, ‘The Chosen One’ makes up for that with blinding speed and devastating one-punch knockout power. Many have criticized Woodley for being gun-shy in his last few fights in the UFC. However, in his very last fight in the UFC against Vicente Luque, Woodley came out swinging.

The former champion let his hands go and landed a few good shots that rocked Luque. If he can do the same against Jake Paul, it will be extremely beneficial to him. In his fighting career thus far, ‘The Problem Child’ has never been hit with a clean punch. Therefore, it will be interesting to see how he copes with Tyron Woodley.
