UFC featherweight fighter Giga Chikadze is riding high on confidence after picking up an impressive TKO win over Cub Swanson last week. He now has set his eyes on former featherweight champion Max Holloway.

Recently, he took to Twitter and doubted Holloway’s self claims of being the best boxer. He wrote, I just rewatched “Kattar VS Holloway” and, if @BlessedMMA fights me I’ll make sure he won’t be screaming “I’m the best boxer” @ufc @danawhite @AliAbdelaziz00″

Chikadze was brutal against Swanson in their match at UFC on ESPN: Reyes vs Prochazka on May 1. He picked up an impressive TKO victory after landing a body kick in the first round. The win also fetched him the Performance of the Night bonus and extended his winning streak to six matches in the UFC.

In the post-match interview, he talked about his desire to fight either Holloway or Kattar. “I was in Georgia when Max fought Calvin. I was doing commentary for the fight, and I enjoyed this fight, and every time he was doing something nice I was like, ‘I want to fight him, I want to fight him.”

He concluded by saying, “I feel like after this type of performance, I might get it – if not, then I might get (Kattar)”

But this is not it. He recently appeared in an interview where he described himself as the best striker in the UFC, even better than Holloway. “I guarantee you I’m the best striker [in the UFC] and a much better striker than Max Holloway. I just need my chance to prove it.”

When asked about his chances of beating Holloway, Chikadze replied, “It doesn’t matter if it’s gonna be a 3-round fight, 5-round fight … I only give [Holloway] 2 [rounds]. That’s the max.”

Is Max Holloway the best striker in UFC?

Holloway is one of the greatest featherweight fighters in the history of UFC. He has picked up impressive victories against Jeremy Stephens, Anthony Pettis, and Brian Ortega, to name a few.

Earlier this year, his last fight against Calvin Kattar saw him dominating the latter in 5 rounds to pick up a unanimous decision victory. According to UFC’s stats, he landed 445 strikes in that match, which is now a record. While fighting, he was seen shouting at commentators by saying, “I’m the best boxer in the UFC!”
