‘I’m in the Title Fight’- Nate Diaz Blood-Hot Ready For UFC 263

UFC veteran and perennial title contender Nate Diaz is gearing up to face a tough opponent in the form of Nate Diaz come this UFC 263. The mentioned bout could have taken place at UFC 262, but a late minor injury to Diaz forced the match to be rescheduled for UFC 263.

Diaz is making an appearance for UFC after a long layoff of two years. He last fought against Jorge ‘Gamebred’ Masvidal in the battle to decide the BMF champion.

The American knows what lies in front of him and has been training for the same vigorously. In the latest video of the countdown to UFC 263, Diaz talked about his bouts only involving title fights.

“This is a title fight right here,” he said. “Any fight I’m in is a title. Because in my whole career, everybody I have fought has either fought for the title or it’s just everybody knows it. So I’m in the title fight.”

Nate Diaz says he is getting better with age

Diaz (20-12) recently turned 36 but believes he is still improving as a fighter. In a recent interview, Diaz detailed his improvement and why he still belongs in the elite tier.

“I’ve been fighting for the last 10, 15 years,” he said. “I’ve done it all. I’ve fought all these guys, and done more and done better than anybody. Keeping it real all the way through. I’m like the triathletes, we get better with age. Nobody has stayed on top as long as me, and I’m still headlining shows.”

“I’m out there to show people I’ll beat the best of the best. If I’m not going to fight the biggest fight I could possibly find, I’m gonna fight the best fighter that I could possibly find.”

Diaz then praised his opponent Edwards for piling up victories one after the other. “He’s got all the wins. I’ve got a tough task on my hand. I’ll be out there trying to beat him down. I’ve got try to win from everywhere, the best that I can.”

Well, Diaz has fought some gruesome battles over the years. He will look to pick up a good win over Edwards and march towards a title fight. But there is a reason why Edwards is ranked number 3 in the welterweight division, and Diaz should be up on his toes when the fight begins.
