Israel Adesanya is not someone to shy away from a fight. Whether it’s in the octagon, or outside it, on the internet. Adesanya has been quite active on his social media since his victory at UFC 253. The back and forth between Izzy and former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones over Twitter has become a sort of routine event.

Jones has called out Adesanya for a better part of a year, eventually relinquishing his title and moving up to heavyweight. Stylebender is now in negotiations to challenge Jan Blachowicz for the light heavyweight title.

Adesanya sat down with Submission Radio to discuss his feud with Jones. “Trust me, he doesn’t want the war with me,” Izzy said. “I’m only talking about it because you guys ask about it and I have to say something.”

“I don’t talk about him unless I’m asked about him. I don’t speak back to him unless he says something stupid to me.” Adesanya feels like Jones has been calling him out while Izzy has been focusing on himself.

Israel Adesanya will say things DC won’t

Adesanya told Submission Radio that he felt that Jones was underhanded in his comments with Daniel Cormier. “DC will tell you, he talked about his dad passing away and Jon was like, ‘Who’s your daddy? Who’s your daddy? Like a little low-key jab.”

Stylebender is a different individual who is as good as he gets. “I’m not the one to war with. I understand this game of war. I know the strategy and in a way that not many people would. Especially online because I’m a f***ing troll.

“I’m not a troll in that sense where I’ll hide behind a keyboard. I’ll come to see you and he knows that already.”

Jones crossed the line for Izzy

Adesanya explained that Jones has gone too far with some of his comments. “There are certain lines he already crossed when he brought my dad,” Stylebender said.

“I mentioned his mom and everyone was like how could you mention his dead mother,” Izzy stated. “Look, I don’t wait till my parents are dead before I put them on the pedestal. I don’t wait till they’re gone, I put them on the pedestal now so you don’t ever [ __ ] put my parent’s name or anything about them in your [ __ ] in your lips in your life.”

While Adesanya doesn’t take any of Jones’ comments personally, he is always ready to dish out some pain of his own. “Trust me, the clip is loaded, bro. I got clips and clips on clips, boom I’m ready to roll.”

“It’s fun and games, anyway. We’re going to fight. Right now I’m focused on Jan. That’s my main goal, ” Adesanya concluded.

A victory against Jan would put Adesanya in a select few to hold two world titles simultaneously in the UFC. A feat un-accomplished by Jon Jones, which will not sit too well with him.
