Tony Ferguson has been among the best at 155 pounds for several years now. However, ‘El Cucuy’ has never fought for the undisputed title. A series of unfortunate injuries have meant that Ferguson has not been able to realize his ultimate goal in the sport.

The closest Ferguson came to being a champion was when he beat Kevin Lee to become the interim lightweight champion in 2017. Since then he has been working his way up back to a title shot at 155. His most recent outing was a loss against Justin Gaethje for the interim lightweight belt. Ferguson now eyes a return to the Octagon before the end of this year.
