Islam Makhachev vs Rafael dos Anjos was a highly anticipated fight at lightweight. The fight between the rising Russian star and the Brazilian veteran had fans excited. However, it seems to be plagued with bad luck, as it has now been canceled for the second time.
The lightweight division is perhaps the most talent stacked division in the UFC. Makhachev is being touted as the person who can take over the crown from Khabib Nurmagomedov and represent the Dagestan region. It’s no secret that both Nurmagomedov and Islam are working towards making the latter the next champion.
