Israel Adesanya has been all over Twitter recently. His back and forth with light heavyweight champion Jon Jones has overshadowed his clinical display at UFC 253. ‘Izzy’ defended his belt for the second time against the undefeated, Paulo Costa. The champion was extremely meticulous in his approach and secured the win with a second-round TKO.

However, despite it being one of the best performances ever seen by a champion, it hasn’t been in focus much due to the aftermath. Adesanya’s post-fight antics and his social media feud with ‘Bones’ over the past few weeks has dominated the headlines.

Israel Adesanya is ready for anything

Israel Adesanya is observing a two-week quarantine in Las Vegas before he heads home to Auckland. This has given ‘The Last Stylebender’ a lot of time to exhibit his Twitter skills. He recently put out a Tweet that was a clip of the famous rapper 50 Cent speaking on a podcast.

The clip showed 50 Cent talking about the fact that he was backed by a very strong team. Adesanya could relate to this and expressed the same to the rapper. His caption read, “F**k with me you know I got it! I’m ready for anything, I’ve seen how this game is played while watching from the sidelines for years. I’m backed by the best! #GPizzle”

Adesanya attached the Tweet with a photo of him holding the belt on the left.  The image has the logo of his management company Paradigm sports’ at the bottom. The photo on the right shows a war-ready Adesanya with a few black panthers around him. This is in relation to his earlier point, where he claimed to have a strong team backing him.

Adesanya is undoubtedly one of the biggest stars in the UFC at the moment. It is rumored that his fight against Paulo Costa generated around 700,000 PPV buys, which is not a small amount.

Jon Jones on the other hand has been in the game for a very long time now. His achievements and records inside the octagon are almost unbeatable.

The back and forth between the two men might have started as banter. However, with time, it has crossed lines as family members were involved in the insults. It is no more a case of two fighters causing some drama. ‘Bones’ and ‘Izzy’ have genuine animosity between them. MMA fans will hope a fight between the two materializes soon to capitalize on their real-life heat.
