Despite his achievements inside the octagon, Anderson is more fondly remembered for inspiring the next generation. Not only did ‘The Spider’ pave the way for Brazilians to take up the sport, but he also inspired many fighters across the world to take up the sport. 

A good example of the same was when Uriah Hall broke down in tears following his win over Anderson. He revealed that Anderson inspired him to get into the sport.

‘Izzy’ shared on social media a video with a caption that said, “Perspective, Sometimes you gotta digest your thoughts before you share/speak, let things simmer. Being able to give young homies the feels that watching Anderson Silva have me watching him grow up…that is something money can’t buy. Obrigado @SpiderAnderson.”

In the video, the individual said, “This is a public service announcement. There are some things money can’t buy. A lot of people wish they could’ve seen Michael Jordan Vs Kobe. A lot of people wish they could’ve seen Kobe Bryant vs LeBron James. GOAT sh*t. Yo, I got to see Anderson Silva vs Israel Adesanya. Live!”
