Poirier took advantage and landed few blows before the bell rang. After the round, it was clear he won’t be able to continue further and thus Poirier won via TKO (doctor stoppage).

Talking about the same in an interview, former UFC interim welterweight champion, Covington, lashed out at Poirier. He said, “He’s out there struggling in front of Conor’s face. Obviously, it’s a fluke man. Conor broke his leg, and it was a fluke, fluke decision ending, you know.”

Covington didn’t stop right there. He went on and targeted Dustin’s wife, Jolie, too. “His wife Jolie out there, obviously she is a prop. He only used it for a prop coz, you know, he knows he is a piece of sh*t person,” ‘Chaos’ added.

“He wants to act like he is a nice guy, family man, you know, a father and a good husband, you know. I just thought he showed his true character last night. He is a dirtbag, and so the whole camp that he resides at,” he concluded.
