The UFC kicks off 2021 pay-per-view events with Dustin Poirier vs Conor McGregor at UFC 257. While most of the attention on the fight card will be on the main event, the rest of the fights on the card are stacked as well. Joanne Calderwood vs Jessica Eye is one such fight.

Eye and Calderwood are ranked sixth and seventh respectively in the women’s flyweight division. Both women are coming off losses in their recent fight.

The fight will be a good opportunity for the two women to not only bounce back to the win column but also gain a rank or two in the process.

In a recent interview, James Lynch asked Calderwood what she made of her upcoming fight with Eye and if there was any animosity. She replied, “It’s going to make the fight even better because I know she does not like me. And I don’t like her and I know a lot of people don’t like her. So I’m just seeing it as I’m the lucky one that gets to punch her come fight night and get paid for it.”
