Megan Anderson will embark on the biggest challenge of her career at UFC 259 when she takes on ‘The Lioness’ Amanda Nunes. Ahead of the fight, the Australian fighter has been involved in an online tussle with fellow UFC fighter Casey Kenney, who will be fighting on the same card as her.

On a recent podcast, Casey Kenney, who accompanied Sean O’Malley and Tim Welch, made a few remarks about the featherweight title contender.

This did not sit well with Anderson, who responded, “I guess MMA is a line of work where you can publicly talk about whether you’d have sex with a coworker in an utterly degrading way and face zero consequences.

Disgusting behavior and it’s unfortunate that he’ll be fighting on my card in March.”

While addressing the issue on his podcast ‘Big’ John McCarthy said, “Now people are going to say well, she said things before stop. Don’t sit there and try to give me oh two rights make a wrong okay? you just need to do better. Be smarter.”

Can Megan Anderson overthrow ‘The Lioness’ at UFC 259?

Megan Anderson bounced back brilliantly after her loss to Felicia Spencer and secured two impressive first-round finishes. She stopped Zarah Santos via triangle choke, followed by Norma Dumont via a brutal knockout.

However, the third opening round finish may be tough, as Nunes is yet to taste defeat since falling to Cat Zingano in 2014. She has won her last eleven bouts and has cemented her place as the undisputed GOAT of women’s MMA.

Going into the fight, Anderson has a few advantages she can capitalize on. The Australian fighter will have a height advantage as well as a reach advantage. But, mere on-paper advantages may not have fans believing that Anderson will be the one to end Nunes’ streak.

Anderson has shown an ability to withstand tough situations in a fight and come out on top. She will have to bring in this version of herself against Nunes and will have to be extremely resilient if she is to rule the UFC women’s featherweight division.
