Jon Jones and the UFC have not had the best of relationships. ‘Bones’ is without a doubt one of the biggest names to have ever graced the sport and arguably one of the most if not the most talented. However, this time with the UFC has not been smooth sailing.

Multiple run-ins with the law, and suspensions by the USADA have marred his career. However, just when it looked like Jon Jones had turned a new page in his life, it looks as though he might be out of action for a while through no fault of his own.
For his move up in weight and a potential fight against Ngannou, Jones has demanded to be compensated adequately. However, he has not been able to reach an agreement with the promotion.

‘Bones’ recently took to Twitter to share a video. The caption of the video read ‘Military best friend reunited after three years apart’- the video showed two men embracing each other and jumping around with joy. Jones captioned it, “@danawhite and I after we get this deal done @ufc”

Jon Jones has been very vocal recently on Twitter and on podcasts about what his issues are with the UFC and why he will not be fighting anytime soon. The former light heavyweight champion taking on the scariest knockout artist in the UFC would be a treat for fans and would generate millions in revenue.

On the flip side, if ‘The Predator’ can defend his belt and is willing to fight one more time before the year-end, a win against Lewis would only increase the intrigue in a fight against the consensus greatest light heavyweight of all time.
