‘Rush’ recently appeared on the Lex Fridman podcast. During their conversation, Fridman asked St-Pierre for his thoughts on the ‘GOAT’ debate and what made each fighter stand out.
‘GSP’ replied, “Khabib Nurmagomedov, I see all the details of his work, especially when he has got his opponent against the fence. That’s his area of expertise where to me, he is the best that ever did it…. Conor McGregor at the accuracy.”

“‘The Spider’ Anderson Silva was, I would say, the most flamboyant of all, like he was moving like the matrix. Jon Jones was incredible in terms of creativity, spinning elbows, and that. And he faced incredible adversity.”

The former two-division champion continued, “Demetrious Johnson was so complete, he was slamming a guy to an armbar it was unbelievable. He was like the complete fighter. BJ Penn was like so flexible, he did stuff with his body that nobody could do. The dexterity of his hips was just unbelievable. Dominick Cruz to me was incredible with his footwork and distance control.”
