Joe Rogan Does Not Want The Jorge Masvidal vs Nate Diaz ‘BMF’ Rematch

Jorge Masvidal vs Nate Diaz at UFC 244 was one of the biggest cards in the company’s history. The inaugural ‘BMF’ belt match was a highly anticipated event. It recognized two MMA veterans for their contributions to the sport with a ‘Baddest Motherf***er Belt’.

The fight came about when Nate Diaz called out Jorge Masvidal after an impressive comeback win over Anthony Pettis. The rivalry between the East Coast and the West Coast created a perfect storyline for the fight. The fight, however, had an unfortunate end due to doctor stoppage. Both men involved and fans alike wanted a rematch. UFC commentator Joe Rogan however does not see it the same way.

Jorge Masvidal Vs Nate Diaz 2? Joe Rogan and Luke Thomas give their thoughts

Luke Thomas joined Joe Rogan on a recent episode of his podcast. On the show, they revealed their thoughts on a potential rematch between Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz. 

Rogan said, “Then of course the murking of Nate Diaz. Man, he beat the f**k out of Nate Diaz. That was a crazy fight. They were talking about running that back…. I was confused.”

In the fight at UFC 244, Jorge Masvidal landed an impressive 114 total strikes with an accuracy of 62%. He was also able to land 112 significant strikes.

Gamebred’ dealt a log of damage during the fight. Diaz is prone to cuts and bleeds easily. In the fight, he suffered a laceration above his right eye. The doctor deemed the cut to be too dangerous for him to continue and called off proceedings at Madison Square Garden.

After the fight, both men expressed interest in running it back. Diaz claimed he was just getting started. ‘Gamebred’ also promised to give Diaz the rematch he deserved. Since the fight, he has gone on to fight for the belt. Nate on the other hand is yet to fight following his loss at UFC 244.
