The bantamweight division in the UFC is at an extremely interesting spot right now. Petr Yan is the champion and is set to take on Aljamain Sterling early this year for the title. However, the rest of the division is stacked with some incredibly talented fighters such as Rob Font, Cody Garbrandt, Cory Sandhagen, and the former champion T.J. Dillashaw

Number fifth-ranked Font is on a three-fight win streak at the moment. He secured an impressive win over former title challenger Marlon Moraes last month via TKO. Font then called out T.J. Dillashaw for his next fight in the UFC.

In a recent interview with Mike Heck, Font commented on his previous fight. He said, “Hell yeah, we knew like on the other side of beating a guy like Marlon, there comes nothing but big fights, big names and a lot more to it. Alright bro we’re ready for this you know. I’m already back in the gym, already flowing, I know there is going to be another big fight. I’m just blessed to have the options right now.”

When asked about which fight makes the most sense, Rob continued, “Realistically probably TJ is the only one that is not booked. You know you got Cory and Frankie booked… Munhoz and Rivera booked…. I believe Cody is injured or going down to 125 or something like that. So the only person to fight is me or Aldo. So if I can’t get TJ, hopefully, we get the Aldo fight. Throw me in there man lets go.

Former champion T.J. Dillashaw will be eligible to fight once his two-year suspension ends on January 18. Both Aldo and Font called out Dillashaw after their respective wins recently. Rob Font vs TJ Dillashaw would be an extremely interesting fight at bantamweight. Furthermore, it will be a good way for Font to prove himself against a former champion.
