Khabib Nurmagomedov is one of the greatest fighters in MMA history. While many also argue his position as undisputed and others say it isn’t, there is no denying that Khabib was a beast in the octagon.

The now-retired 29-0 fighter had re-focused his energies on a lot of things with the sport of MMA. However, he himself isn’t fighting actively.

Instead, Khabib is promoting others. This includes his cousin Umar Nurmagomedov, who is yet to make his UFC debut. Umar was scheduled to debut on UFC 254 on the undercard of Khabib’s fight with Justin Gaethje.

However, Umar was forced to withdraw because of a staph infection. But it seems like he may be returning soon, according to Khabib’s Instagram.

The translation reads, “You see the one from behind? He just wants to break into @ufc January 23. We hope it will happen. Get ready brother.”

Khabib asking for his cousin to be on the Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier card shows his intelligence. It would be a massive showcase for him, and hopefully, the UFC can get him on.
